Devotional Message

At the age of thirteen, I experienced my first heart break, which caused me to slip into a place of great darkness. The culprit was the loss of my father. I can still remember that feeling of loneliness and wondering who's going to give me those amazing piggy back rides and inspirational talks of how I was the most beautiful, brightest and loving princess on the entire planet. I desperately needed someone to talk to because my mother had temporarily checked out. My neighbor observed my digression and intervened handing me a little black Bible. Inside she had underlined the passage which read, "fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" (Isaiah 41:10 ESV). This verse literally saved my life. It was in that pivotal moment I excepted, believed and honored Christ as my Lord and Savior. My neighbor became my mentor and introduced that lost thirteen-year-old girl to the most liberating, loving, compassionate and forgiving spirit on and off the entire universe. Because of that intervention which occurred many years ago, My burning passion and ultimate mission is to rescue, assist and selflessly love those lost souls, one child at time, just as I was once rescued. "I can do all things through him who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13 ESV).
