Where Are Our Girls!

Celebrities, families and people all over the globe are furious and demand answers to the question; Where are our girls? This week alone there are reports of more than a dozen African American and Latina girls in Washington D.C. missing. Many believe nothing is being done.

Commander Chanel Dickerson, the new leader of The Youth and Family Services Division, assure that “we are not seeing an uptick in missing children in D.C.” In fact, Cmdr. Dickerson stated, “there is a huge decrease in missing children cases since 2014.”

Desperate and helpless people take to social media, posting #bringourgirlshome! #theyareofgreatvalue and commenting on how Tom Brady’s jersey is more of a priority than these missing girls. Washington D.C. police officials respond with tweets that read, "please work with the Washington D.C. Police department to bring these girls home safely."
Although police and city officials are denying this accusation, speculation of sex trafficking and a spike in crime is said to be the cause of this epidemic.
Acting D.C Chief of police Conch says, in most missing cases the children leave home at their own will, but it is our duty to alert the city of their missing status.

Countless celebrities such as, Andy Cohen, Viola Davis, LL Cool J, Beyoncé etc. take to Instagram to give their support and express their concern.

Many just want to know, how do we fix this and bring our girls home; and what is D.C. authorities doing to speed up the process.
